“You’re a White Guy on a visitor’s visa whose time is nearly up…”

…is what the Black Guy told Dominic, the main character in this nonfiction feature film. It’s set him on a journey that will turn him inside out. A journey that will be embodied in a conversation with iconic dinner guests with one simple task: dismantle the White Guy and put him back together as a Human Being.

The Challenge…

Guests, who represent different ways of doing life, will challenge Dominic on three levels;

  • His Identity – the way he sees himself.
  • His Thinking – the way he reasons things through.
  • His Doing – the way he does life.

As a surrogate citizen, Dominic will immediately live out the challenges as the camera roles – no matter what. He has no idea what the challenges will be. If he can endure them, lived out here in South Africa, he will stay. If he can’t, he and his wife (if he can convince her) may leave for good.

The Rules…

The Guests will play by the following rules;

  • The challenges must clearly express treason to and defection from whiteness and what it means.
  • The challenges must express commitment to being Human beyond fictitious categories of identity (I.e. Whiteness in this instance).
  • The challenges must stop short of putting Dominic’s life in danger, although meaningful near misses are permissible.
  • The Challenges must be given in love.
